THE 10 BEST USED 2-STROKES

Contrary to rumor, the two-strokes do not make a comeback. They had never left. KTM continues to sell every year, Yamaha reports that they are not going anywhere and there are a number of small European brands like Gas Gas that live on two-stroke sales. It seems odd that Husaberg, the company that essentially started the slight four-stroke movement, is only two times now.
But the biggest two-stroke seller of all is your PC. Internet is where you will find the best bikes at the best price. The development has been slow in the two-stroke world over the past 10 years, and that means you can get a current motorcycle that's several years old. Here are the top 10 bikes to look for in the two-stroke market. Best Dirt Bikes

1. SUZUKI RM250, 2003 - 2008

The reason the Suzuki has recently made it to the top of our list is value. The bike was abandoned after 2008, so prices are low; usually under $ 2,000 for one in excellent condition. During this period, Suzuki and Yamaha clashed, fighting for MX's first 250-second honors, even as other manufacturers dropped out. The Suzuki has always been good and remains competitive to this day. The first years had projection problems, but the suspension was good, the engines were fast and reliable. Now, they tend to offer the most money on the used bike market.

2. KTM 300, 2004 and LATER

To date, the KTM 300 is considered the best bike for races and tight tests in two or four strokes. There was a major update in 2004, but even those made between 2000 and 2003 were pretty good. Both versions were the EXC and the MXC, the last of which was more desert-oriented. Today, they have been renamed the XC-W and XC models. Even though the bike has undergone a new cosmetic revision later in life, the most important change was the electric starter option in 2008. These are hard to come by, but if you do, buy it. Prices tend to be a little high for two-stroke KTMs, but you'll get all that at the time of resale.

3. YAMAHA YZ250, 2005 and LATER

Yamaha has already had the best Japanese 250 with two shots when the other companies pulled out of the deal. In 2005, the YZ got the unique aluminum frame back frame it keeps to this day, so any example from the last seven years is worth it. The fork is the only component that has improved significantly since then. If your mission is motocross, the Yamaha could even go to the choice of the used bike, even above the KTM. 4. KTM 250, 2004 and LATER

The KTM 250 is almost identical to the 300, but is not as popular. The power of the SX motocross version is phenomenal. To date, it remains the 250 times the two best times you can find. The suspension has always been a painful point on KTM two-stroke motocross bikes, and still remains to this day. The EXC versions, which will later become the XC-W line, are all-terrain models and are incredibly good, missing only the lower power of the 300.

5. HONDA CR250R, 2000, 2001. Best Dirt Bike

It seems odd to distinguish these years as the best Honda CR250R, but it's true. Everything was set up for the Honda in 2001, with a newer chassis and an older engine. The 2000 version was almost the same, so do not be difficult. We know many riders who have them and cherish them, race every weekend.

6. HONDA CR250R, 2002-2007

In 2002, Honda gave the 250 an electronic power valve, but never fully developed the idea. The engine felt a little more lazy than the one he replaced. The chassis, on the other hand, was great. He had a new chassis and suspension that remains an excellent driver for motocross and off-road. Honda has announced it will no longer make two-strokes after 2007, but the progression of the models stopped years ago.

7. YAMAHA YZ125, 2005 and LATER

The Yamaha is an easy choice as the top 125 on the list. It remains the best 125 motocross, although it has not changed in years. The aluminum frame came in 2005, but even the first models were excellent. The Yamaha has never been the fastest 125 - this honor has always gone to the KTM - but it remains the best maneuverability and suspension. Best Dirt Bikes
